Glow Ball Tournament

2022 Glow Ball Tournament

Friday, July 29th at 9:30pm & Friday, August 12th at 9:30pm

Our first Late Night – Fun Night of the year was held on July 29th…
It’s 9:30pm and all participants are ready with Glow Balls in hand. Some course mis-directions and lighting distractions awaited and made for a challenging night. Despite a LIGHT rain on and off throughout the round, all teams made it through 2 rounds undeterred. The rain may have been a small negative, but on the BRIGHT side a fun time was had by all. After two rounds of working around bridges, waterfalls, castles, and slides, there was one team who OUTSHINED the rest. The ‘Caddy Daddies’ team of Brad Beady and Shannon Spada had few troubles negotiating the tricked up course on their way to victory. Their scores of 42 and 42 was 14 under par and good enough to win by 2 strokes over tournament veterans Matt Liles and Michael Seymour, and by 5 strokes over the Justin Seymour/Anna Wallace team. The ‘Lynch Luck’ team of Mark and Heather Lynch finished a respectable fourth. Those who stayed with a DIM GLIMMER of hope were rewarded as other prizes were awarded to our youngest players as well as some random drawings for those left out of the top four spots. This event sold out quickly so a second Late Night – Fun Night was added.

Our second Late Night – Fun Night also sold out and was held on August 12th. This time the weather was perfect and as a result the scores were a bit lower this time around. Once again the course was all AGLOW with the same set up as July 29. More than half the teams finished under par this time around and a select few LIT UP the course to take the top spots. Congratulations and ILLUMINATIONS to our winners Marc and Mason DeJordy! Their two round scores of 40 and 42 was 16 under par and enough to win by the narrowest of margins as we had to resort to a scorecard playoff to determine the victor. With scores of 43 and 39, Rob and Noah Osenkowski matched the winning score, but officially finished second. Just one stroke behind them was Evan Czerwinski and guest at 15 under par and the team of Mark Novicki and Ellie Bernier scored a respectable 14 under. Once again some random prizes were awarded during the late night snacks. So the lights have DIMMED on our Late Night – Fun Nights for the year. Congratulations to all of our winners! Look for our next ‘Glow Ball Warming’ next year.
Happy Summer and HAPPY EVERYTHING! >> Doug
