Farmington Miniature Golf has been a cornerstone of the Farmington Valley since 1962, bringing over six decades of affordable family fun to the same beautifully maintained course. It was built by Bill and Virginia Frye, then carried forward by Pat and Mary Guglielmo, who grew it into the beloved destination it is today. In 1991, their sons Philip and Patrick opened the Ice Cream Parlor next door, and those two brothers still own and operate both businesses today, with the rest of the Guglielmo family pitching in to keep the tradition alive every season.
We believe in traditional miniature golf at its finest: no neon gimmicks, no inflatable castles. Just a beautifully tended course with classic obstacles such as a spinning windmill, a church with swinging doors, rolling hills, and a tricky water hazard all set among lush garden beds. And when the round is done, a genuine old-time ice cream parlor waiting right next door.
Giving back to this community has always been part of who we are. Every year our annual tournament raises money for the Jimmy Fund and the UConn Children's Cancer Fund. We have hosted an annual Haunted Miniature Golf fundraiser for groups in the past, and we have also hosted other events benefiting Gifts of Love, a local nonprofit serving families in need across the Farmington Valley.
Nineteen meticulously maintained holes wind through lush garden beds, a spinning windmill, a working lighthouse, and even a water hazard that has humbled even seasoned putters. The course plays on one open parcel so you can keep an eye on every member of your group, making it perfect for families with little ones.
Sink a hole-in-one on the 19th hole and earn a free game coupon to bring back another day. The course has been consistently praised by golfers across Connecticut and beyond as one of the finest traditional miniature golf experiences in New England.
Read Our Putting Penguin ReviewSince 1991, our Ice Cream Parlor has been the perfect exclamation point on every round of miniature golf. Housed in a beautifully renovated historic home overlooking the course, it's the kind of place where you take your time choosing a flavor, because there are over forty of them.
We scoop hand-packed hard ice cream and soft serve alongside floats, milkshakes, and something genuinely special: Avery's Soda, the legendary small-batch craft soda brewed since 1904 in New Britain, CT. Pair a scoop with a bottle of Avery's and you've got a Connecticut classic on your hands.

There is no better place for a birthday celebration than Farmington Miniature Golf. Kids love the course and the ice cream parlor, and parents love that the whole experience is right here in one beautiful setting with plenty of outdoor seating and space to spread out.
Farmington Miniature Golf is a fantastic venue for group outings of all kinds. Corporate team building, school trips, scout troops, family reunions. The course is fully open-air, easy to navigate in groups, and the ice cream parlor next door means no one goes home without a treat.
Now in its 45th year, the Farmington Miniature Golf Tournament is one of the longest-running miniature golf tournaments in America. Sanctioned by the American Miniature Golf Alliance, it draws competitors from across New England and beyond for a single-day, three-round strokeplay battle on the course.
What makes this tournament truly unique is that all players must use the house course balls rather than their own. It's a tradition that has defined Farmington's event for decades, putting every competitor on exactly equal footing. In 2025, Highlighter set the all-time course record with a three-round total of 106. Registration and entry fees are handled in person at the course. Pre-registration is $35 and walk-up entry on the day of the tournament is $40. A portion of every entry fee and bonus ball money is donated to the Jimmy Fund and the UConn Children's Cancer Fund.
When the sun goes down, Farmington Miniature Golf lights up. The annual Glow Ball Tournament is a two-person team event that transforms the course into a UV-lit wonderland where glowing balls trace dotted lines through the dark toward neon-painted obstacles. Fire displays light the night as teams make their way through all 19 holes, making it a spectacle as much as a competition.
Whether you are a seasoned putter or showing up for the experience, the Glow Ball event is a summer highlight that sells out fast. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for dates and registration details each season.
